  • Cartridge heaters


    Delta high-watt density cartridge heaters are fully swaged and can be applied wherever high temperature cartridge heaters are used. High-watt density cartridge heaters will deliver temperatures of 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit on the high-temperature alloy sheath. High quality nickel-chromium resistance wire used throughout assures reliable performance at elevated temperatures. Nickel pins or leads are swaged into the ceramic end cap, at the lead end of the cartridge. Standard 10锟斤拷?nickel, 450-degree Celsius fiberglass-insulated leads with insulation rated at 300 or 600 volts are supplied, optional lead types are available. High-purity magnesium oxide cores and filler materials swaged to rock-hard condition provide superb dielectric strength, while conducting maximum heat from the nickel chrome resistance coil.   • Ceramic Band Heaters


    The use of ceramic inserts to support high-temperature nickel-chrome resistance wire allows the Delta ceramic heater band to operate at temperatures reaching 1,500 degrees Fahrenheit. Corrosion-resistant metal is slit along the edges to allow easy fitting of the shroud to the object to be heated. The radiant heating effect of ceramic heaters allows construction in widths greater than those in other types of heaters. Wider bands allow fewer heaters per zone and more uniform heat patterns.   • MI Barrel and Nozzle


    The MI Band is a high performance heater. Its performance and name are derived from Watlow's exclusive mineral insulation - a material that has much higher thermal conductivity than the mica and hard ceramic insulators used in conventional heaters. A thin layer of the "high" thermal conductive MI material is used to electrically insulate the element wire from the inside diameter of the heater sheath. A thicker, "low" thermal conductivity layer backs up the element wire, directing the heat inward towards the part that is being heated.
